A fabulous late Victorian to early 20th century (1890 - 1910) pine dresser base/ sideboard, continental in origin.
The paint is old (more than one colour) and has distressed/ crackled naturally, any loose rubbed down to make stable and lightly waxed. A fantastic look and not the result of a quick lick of chalk paint - the real deal! Its taken many years to create this! However, it has also been sympathetically restored. New lock and key, replacement feet - Farrow & Ball 'Eating Room Red' was used and then waxed for these. What you get is a piece ready for immediate use with a good running drawer and smoothly closing doors, combined with an all round sturdy feel and a look that just can't be faked!
